UNS S31254 /1.4547 /F44 /254 SMO General Properties

 

UNS S31254 /1.4547 /F44 /254 SMO is a very high end, molybdenum and nitrogen alloyed super austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. It demonstrates outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion stress cracking, and corrosion fatigue uniform corrosion. UNS S31254 /1.4547 /F44 /254 SMO /254 SMO is substantially stronger than the common austenitic grades, with strength nearly twice that of 300 series stainless steel. It is also characterized by high ductility and impact strength. With high levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen, UNS S31254 /1.4547 /F44 /254 SMO /254 SMO is frequently used in high chloride environments, such as brackish water, seawater, pulp mill bleach plants, and other chloride process streams. In some applications it has even been found to be a more cost effective substitute for high nickel and titanium alloys.
This alloy possesses a lower yield strength than that of duplex stainless steel (and much lower than that of super duplex steel) and pitting resistance which is comparable to super duplex stainless steel (such as UNS S32760 / S32750).

  AlloyO Special Metal: Alloy600 N06600 seamless tubes have been delivered for Chemical industry  According to the request of a chemical user, AlloyO Special Metal has supplied with a batch of N06600 alloy seamless tubes.  This order time was long: the user had always consulted the NS331 material seamless tubes, which are matching the domestic 600 alloy material.
